History
In 2000, Lewis R Springer, III founded LRS...Architecture which provides architecture and construction management services for residential and commercial projects. Lewis received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1982, obtained his California architectural license in 1984, and contractor’s license in 1989. After graduating from Cal Poly, Lewis worked in the private sector for architects in Cupertino and San Diego. In 1991, after relocating to the Sacramento area, Lewis worked in the public sector for government agencies managing design consultants and construction projects.
Lewis transitioned from drafting on paper to ACAD in 1989 and into the world of BIM and Revit® modeling in 2002. Lewis has spent ten years mastering Revit, training other architects, and working with other firms to transition into Revit.
A note from the president:
“In 2002 I decided to leave the 2-dimensional realm of ACAD to move into 3d modeling. After researching several BIM programs, I decided on Revit. At the time Autodesk had just purchased Revit and there were no books or training available. I had switched from paper to ACAD with only 2 days of training and assumed the change into Revit would be just as simple. At the time I did not understand the power of using the database that Revit has to offer. Without help, it took over a year for me to understand the paradigm shift that was necessary to embrace and harness the power of Revit. I now want to take my years of knowledge and share with your company to help you avoid the pitfalls that I endured in learning this amazing software.”
